Wil Synapse run under LINUX

    Since Firebird runs on LINUX as well as windows, will Sysnapse Server run under linux ?

    Or are we restricted to Windows XP, 2003 Server

    Currently, because Synapse Server uses ODBC, then we are restricted to Windows. We don't have a native driver for Interbase/Firebird, and information on ODBC for Linux is scant.


    It may be that sometime in the future, if there is demand, we will port to Postgresql instead, so that the server can run on Linux, BSD, Mac and Windows.

    So, the answer is .. yes, restricted to Windows currently.
