I know that you can access the VS from the F5 button.

I can't seem to find where they are located if I just hit "save" as opposed to "save and insert" . I need to put them into an initial consultation.

They are in Patients > Results > Numerical Results.

I use [F12] for Vital Signs.

You "can" assign different function keys for different popups.

I don't see any easy way to "copy" specific test results only to enable those results to be inserted into a consult note.

I do remember talking with Graham about having a short form for inserting lab results into a consult note .. like:

    " Insert Last 5 Hemoglobins"

    " Insert Last 3 Hemoglobins"

" Insert Last 3 Systolic Blood pressures with dates"

but I don't know how all that got firmed up.

save and insert only works if you have the consult open. Otherwise how will it know which encounter to insert and where?

To insert saved results, you can open up the encounter, click on the "insert" tab, click on the insert results table, or type a value eg. systolic into the field at the bottom.

Or, you can click on a range of results in the numeric table, click on the [Copy] button and then paste them into the encounter.
