Chrome OS will be sort of like an OS ... that is a browser, that's it. No local files. Everything on the net. I guess it could be an OS for ASP EMR clients ? I don't think a killer Chrome OS EMR is coming anytime soon. Hard to say if it would meet doctor's expectations of what an EMR should be. I think I'd use Chrome OS for something like ... instant ON email. But I think I want some sort of ARM device for that (not that they exist). My mom could use it - all she uses is ebay and Eudora email.
Google Notebook will be Free, but Linked to a Contract ? The Chrome OS system is in its trial stage and it has especially been designed for cloud computing. Google will not commercialize this product directly, but via retail stores. Google has confirmed the launching of Google Chrome OS Notebook (code name CR-48).
