Looking over the surescripts test data, looks like I need to add a few more fields to help identify docs. These include state license number beeper night contact number Medicare number? Medicaid number? Are these last two really needed? And are there any others that I might need to record?

[/quote] DEA number is the most important to pharmacies, and many are now asking for NPI number. As of June 2007, Medicare UPIN number was replaced by the feds with NPI number, which is just a 10 digit number - no letters. My DEA number is 2 letters, and 7 numbers, no hyphens or punctuation. Is anybody still using beepers? I guess some are, but a cell phone is pretty standard these days.
I already support DEA numbers and NPI numbers. I'll remove the Medicare number. Good point about beepers .. but that's the test data from 2006. I should add cellphone.
