I'm looking at improving the keyboard navigation of key screens so that reliance on the mouse is less. So, I can now add diagnoses without using the mouse once the add diagnosis screen is up. Just let me now if you see any other places where this can be improved.
Add a diagnosis with ICD9 code with your current version, and then try it with B44.5 athttp://synapsex.s3.amazonaws.com/synapse.exeCount the mouse click differences.
Mouse clicks - zero ! nice. Note: for adding the second diagnoses (ie. two in a row)(which I do alot). I just used [F2]
I think it's going to be nearly impossible to make it mouseless ... but the aim is to reduce the number of clicks to close to 0 as possible.
Note that if the button has focus, the space bar works as well. Most of the alerts that popup now have the ok button with focus so that you can kill it with the space bar.
this might be interesting to see what data comes from this http://www.emrupdate.com/forums/p/18143/93475.aspx#93475
I'm going to have to make some changes to the icd9 lookup etc. At present, cursor navigation selects the item under the cursor ....
I've updated the experimental to 84.6 You can now use the keyboard only for adding diagnoses and surgeries with Read Codes, ICD9 and ICD10. I've swapped the code and diagnosis fields around to reduce the number of tabs by one. Let me know if there are any issues.
