To give some idea of how fast filing items to the correct patient, and classifying correctly, I timed myself. With about 40 items, it took me 15 mins to file and classify.
That sounds faster than real paper, but depends.....one MA, go find 40 charts, punch and file, refile the charts VS one MA, go find maybe 5 charts, file average of 8 items to each chart and refile..... vs one really fast MA, 10 charts, average of 4 items per chart Having watched them a lot, I dare say the MA would beat 15 min in the second scenario but not the first and last. Even then, I think it would be close. And some MA's are alphabet challenged, especially if they've been "at a concert" the night before.
did a few more .. 25 docs in 10 mins using document recognition. So this seems consistent - 2.5 documents per minute.
