FireFox 3 - better at handling Windows Explorer like browsing

    FF3 is quite a bit better at this now.

    To test, just type in a windows folder into the FF address bar.

    ie. c:\windows\ or c:\EMR\

    This sorta reduces the need for the [Xplr] function, except for the fact that you can't create "new documents" in a patient's folder from within the browser. Many users might not be doing that anyway.

    Some good old FireFox hacking could add any feature anyway !

    Possibly using FireFox for browsing but add an [Explore here in Windows Explorer] button to FF would be helpful. Should be quite easy to do.

    As well, I just check it, copying a FF url of a folder, ie. file:///p:/a ... brings up the right folder in Windows explorer, ie. P:\a.

    I would think browser security explicitly presents this .. it should sandbox all applications

    I like the convenient "Close Other Tabs" option in FireFox 3.
