I'm trying to get acquainted with all the fax options.

seems like we have email fax, hylafax, snappyfax.

    I print most RXes.

So those do not need a digital signature or an image of my signature.

I would like to automate my faxes better, but to accomplish this I need to add an image of my signature (or the pharmacies here won't accept it).

Problem being ... I will have a need to select a RX template in real time. (one with an image of my signature (for faxing), one without).

I use Postscript/Fax always. Is there a way to have Postscript for my two methods ?

E-signing puts an image of your signature on the pdf/postscript file.

You have to have uploaded an EPS image of your signature first.

SendFax sends a fax by http to Cheyenne web server, and then stores it in a directory.

That directory can then be processed by Hylafax or SnappyFax.

    <strike>where ?</strike> NM. I see it.

When I clicked on PostScript I must have missed the other Tabs.

    Can't I use .jpg now ?

    .eps only ?

It was setup as EPS and that has not changed.

The EPS signature is downloaded to ram when you login to Synapse. The PS code for the signature is then inserted into the PS document.

Just convert your JPG to EPS.

I'd swear you said that .jpg files were supported now as well.

Was that in a different context ?

well, you could use a jpg for signature but that would be as an ordinary disk based image ... whereas there's lots of security that protects the eps image prevent anyone else using it.

How does the e-sign know where to put the image ?

    That's where I want it.

    Mine says this:

    at 210x75 e-signature scale .75 .75

That will show the e-signature at all times.

When I e-sign, I dont get the image of my signature.

    I get

    e-signed by Dr. J.M.

    faulty .eps ?

the .eps shows when I place it with a direct link to the .eps file.

    Ideas ?

Did you upload the eps signature okay?

How big is it? ( kbs )

I had a few problems with e-signature too. Mine were mostly the graphic applications used to create the .eps. I found the text of an article I posted on the wiki as to the steps I took to create the .eps and posted it here . I have had some problems with the postscript formatting code causing the e-signature to not appear in consult templates, like gonzo makes it disappear sometimes, but "flow consult left" doesn't (sometimes vice versa), but I'm not using gonzo or flow in my prescription template.

There wasn't much user feedback. I never received a messaging saying it was uploaded. Nor could I seem to verify it made it.

size shouldn't matter as it does a file upload.

It should give an alert if you managed to upload it okay, so there is something wrong.

Also not working for me too ... so I need to investigate.
