Ok, now I just need to hear back about anyway the permissions are inconsistent, or can be bypassed.
No feedback on the new permissions system, and so we move on to other things<h2>R212B5</h2>
some reports removed with the LaTeX code from the "Docs" button have been restored
A [tickle] button is now available in the Inbox
A mock up of the Chronic Disease Management system; see
Settings/View. In a consult, click on the diagnosis of diabetes ( left
click ) and this should trigger. The other two are blank at present. This should trigger for Read Codes, ICD9 and ICD10.
ps: if you want this to popup with a background image, just copy a jpg into the same directory as synapse, and call it rose.jpg
I used an MD account to update reception permission and got not enough previledge message; however, the changes made were saved anyway. When I switched to admin account, I got this message: "Failed to validate screen. Check the field where the cursor is sitting and make sure that a value is here, and of the correct type." Also, I tried to make one receptionist inactive but got the same message and could not save the change.
I still want them to have access to the results tab, since my EMG report and other radiology reports are often requested by other doctors, as well as a lot of administrative paperwork.
BTW, Graham, you mentioned you were gonna let us change the results type and date under "Results" tab, I haven't seen it. Did I miss it?
Hmm. I need to check this, but you should use an admin account.
because you missed putting in the password field for the person
Isn't there a permission to allow them to look at results now?
Yes you missed it. It's a button called "Change Patient" in the inbox.
The update user and update permissions are now two separate activities ie. [Update User] and [Update Permissions]
Thanks Graham, I missed those.
Found what I need. I was talking about under "Results" tab, I just have to right click on a test to make changes, thanks [Y]
I updated permissions to enable "view consults" and "view results", but they still can access these tabs, not sure where I did wrong.
Do you mean you enabled but they "can't" or "can" ?
OK, tested again. If view consults is enabled, they can open up the consult tab and see the consults.
But if view results is enabled, they can't open up the Results tab .. will fix in the next beta.
looking forward to it
Now honors the view-results permission for the receptionist
Implements the new Chronic Disease Management system
Needs new server R82B2
Note that "Print" is not currently functional in the chronic disease management popup. Here is a tutorial on how to implement your own.
New template type of logic-outcome to support the diabetes template
Results are now refreshed after inserting values from the template
Check out the database update utility which will automatically update your database to add the new diabetes template, the new chronic disease management view for diabetes and the associated normals required.
<h2 class="editable">R212B10</h2> Previous
versions would silently crash Synapse if more than 4000 characters were
saved in a consult. This version uses compression to increase that to
about 8000 characters, and also warns you as well as saving the consult
locally to the www/ directory. Needs latest R82B3 server
Support for unlimited text in a consult - tested up to 330,000 characters, which is about 120 pages. You shouldn't be writing reports longer than this!
<h2>Client R212B12</h2> Fixes the problem with saving large amounts of text. Now tested successfully up to 330 kbs of text. Needs latest R82B4 server.
New OCR tabs in Inbox/Results/OCR and Patients/Results/Text Results/OCR
These store the results from the Synapse-OCR utility
<h2 class="editable">R82B7 server</h2>
Support for the B14 client and new methods
A new utility that scans all your documents automatically for you, and inserts the text back into Synapse.
Increased size of Synapse.exe is due to the use of SSL for sending faxes ( encrypted transmission of faxes )
Bug fix for receptionist adding new patients
Digital results can now be extracted from OCR'd text and inserted into Synapse ( needs R82B8 server )
Fax tracking is now active
Error trap on rare macro popup error
The ability to save the fax tracking, and to customize the rules for extracting results from OCR'd text will be added soon
FaxLog is now working, and can be updated ( need to check timezone issues though ) - needs R82B9 server
Manual extra results can be added to the OCR'd extracted results
Can bring up the scan from the OCR window
Improved results parser
OCR'd results are now annotated so that you don't do them twice
OCR rules are now loaded from the server
Rules can be added or updated
Needs new server - R82B10
An update utility is also available to create default ocr rules for SI unit based systems.
Separate names with a comma.
