It no longer saves empty sections so that your printouts won't look as though you're too lazy! The treatment section provides a tab for each diagnosis/assessment you have made. It's not finished in that I have yet to decide on the workflow for getting medications into this section, but the labs, imaging and procedures are done. The point of this is to generate the superbill automatically ( to be done ), and also to pre-load medications, labs etc for common situations eg. flu - also to be done. Also, didn't mention it before but when you click on the vitals table, it filters on the clicked item.

One of the banes of medical practice is the patient who mentions a new significant symptom just as the consultation is finishing.

I think the detailed consult editor solves this as you just have to go back and do the sections that need to be done for the new complaint. A new assessment is created and you do an assessment specific plan.

56.1 works well for me. I like the handling of unused headers now. This makes the detailed examination editor much more usable for me.

I'm thiking of saving the labs, imaging, meds etc that you use for an assessment.

It will be specific to a provider, and just wondering whether the saving should be explicit, or happen in the background ...

Would you be launching the existing "Add Results" applet, "Manage Medications" applet, etc., the same way it works for Surgeries and Vitals in detailed examination now?
  13. Graham

I don't understand the question and have no immediate plans on changing the named applets.

I think you mean that you would use the existing applets/GUI templates for labs, imaging and meds for intake of results or scans as usual, but record results in a new table or new columns so that the results would be associated with a particular consult. I'm guessing this would be somewhat similar to how you record each examination with a time and date in Detailed Examination Editor, so that one can go back and call up each exam, and use it again if desired.

This would make it easier for you to prescribe your cocktail of potions for flu's etc .. but you still would have to select each drug.

There are a number of issues using the consult editor when not in detailed mode in the latest betas ... so just stick to the detailed mode until I fix them.
