R215B14 24 Mar 2009

• New - the [2SOAP] button now inserts all the soap headers if the consult is a new one
• Bugfix - given more room for status message in the Rx All panel
• Bugfix - the 404th fax sent to Hylafax triggered a false error message. Fax was still sent though.
• New - ticklers autopopulate if invoked from a consult (uses the last 6 words from where the cursor was )

I'm considering releasing B15 as final R215 since there is a fair bit of new functionality.

And then I'll look at

1. revamping the SOAP notes ( only have a single note )

2. adding some structure to the social history.

3. allergies

So, we need all beta testers on 15 to see if there any problems. ...

The new status button row introduced a bug .. you can't use Acroforms without a consult active.

Will fix today.

Values must be space delimited.
[/list]

The calculator is for those with dyscalculia.

Say you have a patient on 4 mg of prednisone, and reducing by 1 mg a month. A 3 month calculation could be

( 30 * 4 ) + ( 30 * 3 ) + ( 30 * 2 )

or of course

30 * ( 4 + 3 + 2 )

Note that mathematical precedence is not observed unless you use parentheses.

so, 4 + 3 * 10 = 70 and not 34.

I like this amount calculator, and the addition of the form to the amount. I generally write Mitte: 30 tabs or Mitte: 8 oz (well, new format is Mitte: **30**tabs). Still fast for me. Even though I can generally calculate amounts pretty fast in my head, there are those times.....

It's like a hidden Easter Egg.
10. Graham

Jerry was suggesting that this type of feature could be used for help and tutorials ...
11. Jerry

What's interesting to me is that the file size has changed very little with the addition of the hidden panel. It would appear that you could put in a small (say 10 slides or something) quick start tutorial on how to use synapse. Maybe a multi-paged file or something?
12. Graham

Graham Developer Staff Member

It could be done, but that means updating the tutorial might mean having to update the client ... isn't it better to leave tutorials on the web?

13. Jerry

Jerry Administrator Staff Member

Admittedly, it would be handy mostly for those that really need the super-quick start, and don't have time or inclination to go to a website. People I see using synapse don't fit into that catagory at all, but a lot of commercial software comes with "quickstart" stuff, so I'm assuming they figured out that it's helpful. Just an idea to speed the learning curve.

Needs B35 server.

The B35 server creates a new table to hold the most common diagnoses, and then a report is run to analyze what the most common diagnoses are already used based on the diagnosis code ( ICD9, ICD10, Read Codes ). This should take less than a minute. Then at the time of adding a diagnosis, the 50 most common diagnoses are offered as a choice.

This list will be updated as you add more diagnoses, but is not precise. So, if you remove a diagnosis it will not be updated. The table that comes up also shows the numbers of times you have added this diagnosis.

The ones I have provided as default are for ICD9. You can change the button label names and codes, and save them using the button on that panel. They are shared with everyone.
