1st October 2012: Rebol will be open source!

    Let's hope he chooses a suitable license. It has been argued that Rebol code is data and so programs written in Rebol3 are data and so not subject to the GPL.

    Graham: what are the pluses and minuses of Rebol as GPL Open source ?
    Are you going to dive in ?

    The announcement applies to Rebol3 which is the new version which we don't use. But this allows the possibility to port Rebol3 to Android and then run it on phones, android tablets etc. And then I could port synapse to Android.

    Yep, but he's going to start a new blog post on that to solicit suggestions.

    I forgot that this site had a link on the REBOL site. I have had very good results getting help here, although it is not clear how many people actually look here. Sometimes it looks like about three.
