Yesterday, my temp receptionist put in a patient's birth year as 1568. Then everytime when the client tries to access this patient's record, it crashes - overflow error during age calculation. I had to manually correct the year of birth using a database tool to fix the problem.
I now trap ages > 150 so that should not happen. See beta-12. Why 150? Well, if you start practise in your 20s, and have a few patients in their 90s, then by the time you're in 70s, their ages will show up close to 150 - deceased of course. Can fine tune this .. or change my age calculation method !
