Obviously mockup list is needlessly overpopulated.

Q: should we support both trade and generic names for Immunizations ?

Q: should there be Tabs (All, Popular, Pediatric, Travel, Adult) ?

Mistakes would be made in this scenario.

I could see a nurse picking the wrong one.

Looks like I should just let everyone enter their own vaccines in instead.

    Probably.

Or at least be able to allow the enduser to delete irrelevant ones.

90/10 rule would preclude an needlessly comprehensive list like your google list.

I could picture a Tab system working well here.

4 tabs Peds, Travel, Adult, Other

I think I need to track lot numbers to normalize the database tables.

Would it be correct to assume that lot numbers are unique across all vaccines? So, a lot no of 1 for pertussis will never find a lot no of 1 for another vaccine?

If so, I can make the lot no. a unique column in the database table.

Also, I think paitents who have a hep A vaccine that needs to be recalled for 2nd, and 3rd vaccinations can be done with ticklers.

And other people who need recall can be done using health maintenance rules ( I will have to create a new vaccine type of rule ). And I need a way for a child to opt out of vaccinations so that they don't get recalled if they don't wish to have them.

Do vaccines have unique identifiers like LOINC codes?? Anyone? If not, I'll just have to use the name :(
