An ICD9 lookup function is available, and can be assigned using a function key assignment

This function keeps the most 1500 common diagnoses available in memory without the need to go to the database server. This means it is very fast, but, also incomplete.

You can either use the Classification table on the left of the screen to drill down to the correct diagnosis, or search on word fragments in the search field.

So, if you wished to search for "Asthma, intrinsic w/ status asthmaticus 493.11", you can search on the terms "ast stat" and this bring up all diagnoses containing these letters.

Note that the "Paste" button is only active for the superbill.
