For certain shots: Td, Pneumovax, Hep B ... etc. I want to add that the patient has had these shots. However much data is missing. I usually only have the Vaccination Name and the date. I've never been told the Lot # or expiry date yet. I often have to rely on the patient whom usually just knows the year. Bottom Line: I need more flexibility in data input. Note: when I don't know the exact date, just the year, I always enter 1-Jan-XXXX.
I thought we discussed this before. Make the expiry date the same as the date the patient received the vaccination, and create a dummy vaccine lot that starts with EXT- to show it was an external and unknow source. Or call it "Unknown". So, later on when you review, you know that the given, expiry and lot numbers are just approximations. Otherwise we need to add yet another field ...
