ToDo lists are a problematic area ... one does not want to make the clerical staff look in too many different places to see the tasks they have been allocated, and the same applies to clinical staff. ToDo's are generally patient specific, and different from Ticklers which are usually more distant ToDo's .. so ToDo's have an immediatecy about them. ToDo's should appear in the Inbox .. like a text result, or they can be appended/tagged to a text result. They also have a status, and ownership.. which can be passed from one staff member to another, and have an audit trail. Like results, when finished they can either be filed with the other results, or deleted when the task is completed. It is proposed to expand the Inbox to allow this functionality.
Very Complicated. Must factor in the multi-provider multidisciplinary clinics. Must leverage Synapse's ultrafast GUI. TODO range from NOW in 5 minutes in 30 minutes today within a few days this week this month when available.
