    1. Patients can now have graph preferences

    R206B1 Client

    1. Each patient's graphs can now be saved as a preference
    2. New template variable: consult-date-usa => Mar 30, 2007
    3. Title now defaults to "Mr" when adding patients ie. not blank

The graph preferences work like this. You use Custom/Normal Ranges to define the defaults for all patients. You need to set the widget to 1 - 36.

Then for a specific patient, in the consult => graphs.

    [Display Controls]

Set the graph order you want for this specific patient, and then click [Save Settings]

They should now be used when this patient is selected.

So, a patient on warfarin might have his INR plotted as number 1 graph top right, whereas a diabetic might have their BS.

    1. Single practitioners - adding results defaults to their name
    2. More color hints during add results
    3. "Refresh" button now only changes the text color and not the whole button
    4. [Print] button for pharmacy to print an address label on the back of a script

The last is for people whom you fax in the prescription, and then need to post it off as well to the chemist.

You can use this to print the address on the back of the script to fit a window envelope.

    1. Add "." to all the title abbreviations eg. Mr.

    [/quote]

A side effect of adding the period TO the title, is that I have 2000 patients with no periods in the title, so that if I wanted periods after titles, I couldn't just add the period to the template now. Of course with some titles needing a period, and others not needing the period, (ie. Lord) then I suppose this is the only way.

Q: could I do a Text replacement for Mr to Mr. in the database?

    Re: Synapse Client 206 beta-2

I could write some code in the client to check if it is "Mr" and replace that with "Mr."

You could update the sql tables directly, but not everyone else could do this.

    Re: Synapse Client 206 beta-2

I'll do the tables, if I want the periods. Having the periods going forward is probably the way to go.

How is this determined ? I have setup up demo doctors in my system for testing ? My secretary really wants this to default to me. [:)]

Disable the demo doctors until you want to do some testing.

Then re-enable them in the staff tab.

I would spell out the month for a formal letter.

First day in a satellite clinic today, spent the whole day setting up network and new computers instead of seeing patients. Now realized Access ODBC is too slow for remote access. Will have to go back to postcript template.
I have "Admin" and "Dummy MD", two accounts - first for database administration, second for junk office documents. Can I have them not listed in appointment tab, and "admin" not listed in "add result"?

Some counts: started experimenting Synapse 2 months ago, now have close to 300 patients, 1378 uploads in "cache-listener" folder taking 156 MB space. And I haven't really started to use templates!

    Re: Synapse Client 206 beta-3

Templates don't really have much to do with the cache-listener folder.

    Letter template issue:

    at 72x545 "Dear "
    at 100x545 Provider

gives blank provider name, wrong variable?

patient-name gives me "Title Firstname Lastname", since I don't use title, can you separate it out and use this variable only for "Firstname Lastname"?

    for the body part:
How do I edit to use just the consult?

    "Yours sincerely" vs "Sincerely Yours,"?

    Re: Synapse Client 206 beta-3

When you print a letter, the print dialog has a field "Addressed to:", and that is used for the "provider". This defaults to the "salutation" field in the provider's details.

    See Settings/letters/Patient Details

    to customize yourself.
    You can't.

    1. New glitch with adding results not updating the Refresh button fixed

    [/quote]

I don't know if I mentioned this but the [Refresh button] was supposed to trigger to all open clients when

    (1) a new result was added (by whomever)

    (2) one of the clients filed something. Thus if I open the INBOX on two PCs and I file an item on one PC, I want to be able to walk over to the other PC and see that the [Refresh] button has been triggered.

I think I was the new "just change the text colour" on the Refresh button, it was entirely underwhelming - go back to the full button colour change !

It only refreshes on clients for whom the result is destined for.

Hey, it's because your inbox was full all the time .. I didn't want to stress you out with bold colors announcing more work!!

    1. A new macro-replacement scheme. No longer uses control-S

The new macro replacement scheme keeps the macro and the list of replacement choices now in the same window so that the words no longer keep popping up with each new word.

You start the replacement process by clicking on "Replace Text". You can replace the word either by altering the word in the display field and hitting enter, click on "Replace Text", or even double/right click on the words in the list. Double click is not the best as it can remove the highlighting from the word to be replaced.
