State files .... Synapse saves a copy of the consult you were working on ... in case of problems.

    If your PC freezes or your connection to the Synapse Server terminates (network cord unplugs, internet drops, router blips, etc.), a state file is created. If you were dictating a 30 minute note, this can be a life saver.

    The three major things that may be saved:

    (1) the consult note - only saved if being edited


    (2) the SuperBill - always saved.


    (3) Vitals




    This state file is saved on each individual client connected to the network, ie. state files are not saved centrally. An important note is that a consult note is only a part of the state file if the end user was actually editing a consult note.

    A new option is to restore states automatically (as pictured below).
