Our local district health board has somewhat unilaterally decided not to fund lab tests ordered by specialists .. changing something that has been a practise since time began. So, to prevent the patient from having to pay for their tests, I have to now send the patient back to their FPs to order the tests I require. Insurers are not currently reimbursing lab testing costs. So, there will be a little check on the print dialog that reverses the requester with the FP being the requester, and sends a cc: to me. A little advantage of writing one's own EMR!
