Under the current plan, if I decided not to install Skype or Imagemagick or Jarnal , I will be forced to view this popup forever. This is quite annoying. Suggestions: (1) Allow a setting in >Settings>Miscellaneous to "Suppress Installation Verification". and maybe a button beside it to "Check Installation".
Add this request to thetracker. Personally I don't think it's a big deal, you can't do anything while Synapse is initializing anyway and this screen is to stop you from trying. Just hit the space bar ... to close the screen down.
It's unhelpful. It's annoying. If you want a splash screen make a good one, not this nagging screen. You made this in reaction to a certain PM vendor whom couldn't setup Synapse properly. Making functioning Synapse users go through Installation Checking ad infinitum has no good rationale.
If technical users can't manage a Synapse installation, it means other less technical will have problems. Functional Synapse users will see the verification which then disappears. Makes good sense to me. You can't do anything anyway while Synapse is initializing.
