Hi Graham et al., I've been using Synapse now for more than a year. Certainly helped me shave a lot of time off my clinical charting. i wonder what the new setup will be. i wonder if people will post their setup here. and discuss pros and cons. e.g. i am thinking of win xp pro and having several computer login into this server. e.g. ithink graham runs linux and has virtual live pc on top of this.
I run Ubuntu as the host OS on my server, and then run several Linux distros and Windows 2003 as VMware images. This enables me to maximize the hardware resources... and means a restore of Windows 2003 is very easy should I need to do that. I'm not sure there are any advantages to running Server 2003 over XP Pro if all you're doing is running a Synapse server.
