New patient data entry - more efficient methods to get it done.

Trying to think up some new ideas for this.

This could also be helpful for a doctor migrating to Synapse.

It seems most EMRs, including Synapse, act as if you are starting your practice with Synapse.

    Thoughts:

Is is possible to have staff enter Diagnoses, Medications, Allergies, Surgeries, Some Ticklers, Physicians, etc, etc. ... and have me "Verify it " ?

Is it possible to have a "New Patient"/"Migrating Patient" screen where someone can key in from the same screen - Diagnoses, Medications, Allergies, Surgeries, Some Ticklers, Physicians, etc ?

    .. more later it's Earth Hour !

My thought is that there are many more docs without EMRs who can use Synapse EMR than docs with an EMR wishing to migrate.

And if they did, it would be much more efficient to write a migration script.

Sure. It would be primarily for docs migrating from paper to EMR.

The point is to make the initial data entry faster and more intuitive, regardless of the reason.

Get the patient to do it via the patient portal! [H]
