I just had the same problem, and thought it was a Win2k issue. Graham and I were on chat about it, he says time is NIST settings and apparently Win2k is not reading the time with NIST settings. We changed to daylight savings here Sunday, March 8 and I manually set my clock a hour ahead. So just setting it back one hour makes the error message go away for me. But you are using WinXP...

    Re: Getting this:

We had the problem on Vista Machines, but I had no problems on Windows XP.

and we had no problems on Vista Machines with 214 Beta 80, but had problems with 214 Final.

This is very odd .. there have been no changes to that code for sometime.

What is the correct time now for you, and what time zone are you in.

I will alter my clock and time zone to yours to check this out.

Well. Not sure what to think now.

Now using 214 Final, Vista, the problem has resolved. One PC wasn't correcting for Daylight savings, but that might have been toyed with to try to get it working ... my partner is sleeping now.

My XP boxes never had the problem.

Ok, discussed this with other people.

Vista should be okay. You should be on EST ( -5:00 ) with daylight savings on.

On XP, the same but you will probably have to install the latest timezone patches. Look for WindowsXP-KB942763-x86-ENU.exe

    Re: Getting this:

I followed the link on the NIST website to try and fix my Win2k time problem with synapse client here. I installed the net time service OK, but synapse client still complains about time being out 1 hour if I set the time correctly to daylight savings.

I had a Windows 2000 Vm that I needed to run an old version of Quickbooks.

Downloaded the daylight saving patch and my time is now corrrect too!
