    Anyone using these?

I commonly fax off scripts to Pharmacies and letters to GP, and rather than running my own HylaFAX server as I used to, I just now use a gateway.

The one I use just asks me to prefix their domain with the fax number and send the fax as an attachment.

I used to do this manually, copying the location of the file, and the email address but I have finally done this straight from the print history dialog.

I used efax for a while.
It was relatively expensive 5 years ago.

I'm using Ventafax for faxing now. Either scan + fax or print to fax.
    Ventafax is better than SnappyFax.

So how does Ventafax work? You select a file, fill in some fax numbers and then push a button to send it?

    Pretty much.

It's networked. I use a Laptop as the Ventafax server.
Each client has a Ventafax Printer driver ... you print to that (either directly from a program, or printing a file).
All the clients have a networked Address Book that works well.
You just type a few letters in and then pick the location you want to send it.
