Synapse has never failed me while I was documenting a patient in almost 2 years now. That being said, I constantly reboot my server computer and I also have a somewhat flaky router ... SO ... synapse clients do lose connection to the server from time to time. I think Synape should be more obvious when it loses connection to the server. Currently it is just a little popup. My secretary would shut the popup down and then try to use Synapse. She would tell me Synapse is not working .... and I would restart it ... and all would be fine. She just ignored the "Connection to Server lost popup". I'd like to see the entire screen go blank. I'd also like to be able to select either Restart or Quit .... and not have to answer the double popups about states being saved when I have no interest in these state files ... as I know ... this client got disconnected because I rebooted the server.
