If you don't have it, download the template from the online library with the CPT codes. In an encounter, select the Template tab, and then use this to generate the request. If you don't use CPT codes, change them to something else.
So ...... some templates insert text into the consult note (AND make entries into the database) (ie. the Investigations: blood no CPT template) and others say .... diabetestemplate (ie. the added sounds + or -) is not addedinto the database (ie. just added into the consult note ? Q: how do Iknow if a certain template adds retrievable data into the database ?
Only tests in which something is printed ( eg bloods, x-rays ) are tracked in this way. Other examination templates are not.
