    Beta-7 is now up.

This version now specifically uses Internet Explorer to browse to those pages that need printing. With luck, this should not interfere with your current browser settings. Ie. If you have Firefox 2.0 as your default browser, it will still bring up IE and not change the default browser settings.

Gosh. This IE printing produces documents that look like Notepad documents. If I gave this prescription to patients every pharmacist in town would be calling me asking if the patient printed it themselves. Too minimal I say.

I guess allowing IE to print stuff but also allowing other more controllable methods would be the best plan.

    Choose your Weapon !

Even 4 horizontal lines would help. One above the doctor address, one above the patient address, one above the Dr's Signature line and one below the registration #.

With some modifications: doctor's address, # of tablets and refills this could pass as a faxable Rx, "secure" fax of course. In Florida such a prescription would not be valid. Prescriptions have to be in special paper, etc. However, prescriptions can be called in. Go figure...

Keep on with the good work.

    It's laughable really.

In Ontario, my secretary can call in RX for me to the pharmacy but I have to hand write my signature on faxed prescriptions.

    Makes no sense.

The thing is, I now allow you three way to print a prescription - postscript, html and LaTeX.

With HTML, it will be easier to allow you to specify a graphic that you can include on your script.

So, at some time I will have a user defined template for the HTML prescription.

    Variety, the spice ofLife.

Graphic - NICE, user defined templates - V. NICE.

    Beta-8 is now up.
    1. There is now a button beside the Zip code field to allow you to trigger a chickenfoot script in Firefox
    2. The add diagnoses popup has a new button to insert the current age.

Client Build 193 Beta-16 is now up. Server 0.0.68 beta-1 is also up. Both are needed to be used together.

These need more testing as a number of changes have been made.
    1. The age field in the diagnoses has now been increased to 4 digits. This means that you can now use years eg. 1999 instead of associating an age of onset.
    2. The "none" text from the diagnoses tables where no age was given is now removed.
    3. Staff to staff messages can now associate a patient with the message. When the message is viewed, the patient is automatically selected.
    4. The ability to add a result as text only without a scan is now restored
    5. On the same add-result screen, a numeric result only can be added using "Add numeric result" button. This leaves the type of result, and patient unchanged so that you can add a sequence of results for the same patient. Use the "clear all" button if you want to clear.

server 0.0.68 beta-3, and client beta-18 now up

The problem list above the list of consults is now replaced with a list of tags. You can use whatever tag you want to use. You can update the tags on a consult. If you have a tag on a patient, and that word is used inside the consult, then the tag is automatically added.

You can filter the consults on a tag by typing inside the drop down list above the list of consults.

you have to watch it here.

if you say "there is no diabetes in this patient's family", you dont want the diabetes tag to show up.

maybe all tags should start with a odd character like the ~
  18. Jason

Jason Developer / Handyman Staff Member

so tags should be divided by a comma ?

    i.e. Initial Consult, diabetes ?

I want to see a tag cloud !

    :)

How about a popup that displays all the tags ! :)

Kind of like a TAG Meta-View of the patient. ( nick plz, patent that phrase TAG Meta-View™)

maybe even "tag counts" beside the tags.

    diabetes(16) prostate Cancer (4) annual exam(7) etc.

FYI, we are the first EMR with tags.

    How Web 2.0 !

    :)

In 5 years doctors won't be "reviewing the patient's cumulative patient profile" they'll be reviewing the patient's TAG Meta-View !

I think I want to keep it conservative first off, to see how it works. So, no tag clouds at present! [H]

Tags are currently just separated by spaces. So "initial consult" is actually 2 tags.

A tag only applies if it is listed in the tag list applying to that patient, so if diabetes is not a tag for that patient, it won't matter if there is family history or not.
