In some instances it might be useful to have a browser interface to Synapse. This would be for remote access to primarily view diagnoses and medications, and would not be a full featured client. It would also not be as fast as the GUI client. If there is enough interest I may look at doing something here...
One Weakness of the portal is the distribution problem. Patients know browsers but aren't as good with novel executables. As well, if things such as MikTex are needed, the potential endusers problems increase. Being able to use Synapse Portal via a browser would improve some of these issues.
