If we select a diagnosis prior to selecting the drug, we can then generate user profiles on which drugs are being prescribed for a particular diagnosis. Then later on, when you click the diagnosis, the most popular choices you make are then shown speeding up prescribing. An extra step now for gain later on.
Or, you could just create a list of preferences yourself .. and not use your own prescribing history.
Very complicated. Not sure it would work that well. is Amlodipine for rate control ? HTN ? decreasing agina ? All ? including decreasing Raynaud's ?
The same drug could appear on multiple lists but at the time of prescribing for that patient, you would indicate which diagnosis it was for. When you click on Raynauds, it would appear as it would also appear for Htn etc.
i like it. even if it did frequency of use population for your diagnosis based on your history. i dont think u have to assign the diagnosis to drug as most md's would be in essence creating thier own historya nd it would be self populating the med to each diag. hope its not too confusing.
I don't see this as an impressive speed gain for my primary care practice. The extra step would cost me time. As well, I would much prefer to make categories myself beforehand. Certainly this is a feature that should be optional and not get in the way of faster prescribing for those whom are not using it.
