Vance says it hasn't worked for a year for him.

I updated Vance to the latest server, problem persists.

So, which version did it last work for you?

Not sure. I don't use it.
Well, I just checked. It doesn't work for me either.
Is this a FireBird version problem ?

    I am using FireBird 2.1
We were using 1.5 ... maybe the problem occurred when we switched from 1.5 to 2.1 ?

Nope, I'm using Firebird 2.1 and it works fine for me.

    Ideas ?
Vance wants to be able to see Previous consults.
Why would both of us have this problem ?

I'm the same as Graham, works for me. I can't recall ever having this problem. I'm drawing a blank why this wouldn't work if you're using the latest client and server.

    Still not working.

Ah... I see the difference. You're using classic mode, and it doesn't work there. Switch to the modern view, and it should work. I suspect it never worked from the classic mode.

And checking the source ... I see I deliberately don't load the previous consults if using classic mode. Don't recall why I did that so will re-enable it.

    Works. Vance will be happy.

I updated Vance's PCs with the new synapse.exe I downloaded and found to work as he needed.
Problem: I couldn't login with his password when I changed the .exe. I thought he must have a different password, and left it at that.
I got back late from the hospital to find out that Vance couldn't log in either !
    OOPS !
I was perplexed, but then realized that synapse.exe was trying to log onto my synapse server, not vances.
I thought that the server to log into was determined by the synapse-port setting.
    Not so ?

The Synapse binary carries the site details with it .. he wouldn't have had this problem if he had updated it as normal.
