ESXI server is not a supported platform for PIAF. I don't want to setup promox. I tried the vmware converter and that failed. oh well ...

I downloaded and installed Piaf 2.8 the other day. I managed to get it working with my local voip provider. I upgraded to 2.9 but seems to be a few problems. Centos 6.2 has a kernel bug so now running update-programs, update-fixes and update-source. Hope this fixes everything.

Also I have to leave port 5060 open otherwise my sip trunk won't register, and I'm told its a security issue. I certainly don't want $1000 bills on my phone!

Did you forward UDP port 5060, 10000 - 20000 to the IP of the PBX ?

I managed to get the Centos kernel updated and the error has now gone. I can receive calls from Googlevoice via IPKall now.

So, how is integration going to work without opening up huge security holes in asterisk?

I can imagine calling a patient using piaf instead of skype, and when the patient answers, my extension then rings. But this involves opening up the API manager.

I have written a cgi script for my PIAF box that allows me to call a patient number, and have my extension ring when they answer. Now to integrate it into Synapse EHR.
